On Friday 28 April 2000, Balmain Rovers provided the shirts and the core for one of two teams of Northern Spirit fans in a grudge match curtain-raiser at North Sydney Oval.
Russell Borman (back row, second from left), Sergio Fiorenza (back row, second from right), Gary Strong (back row, far right), Gary van Heugten (front row, far left) and Carlos Morata (front row, far right) wore the Rovers colours for Barmy Point against the Bob Stand.
